“Tales From The Thousand Lakes” è il secondo album degli Amorphis, uscito il 12 luglio del 1994.
Si tratta di un concept album, i testi sono basati sul famoso poema epico finlandese Kalevala. Sebbene sia ancora strettamente Death Metal, l’album mostra anche un grande influenza Doom, con un riffing più melodico, elementi di Prog Rock e musica Folk finlandese.
