L’11 novembre del 1996 i finlandesi Sentenced pubblicavano “Down”, quarto album della band. È il primo che vede la partecipazione del vocalist Ville Laihiala e segna anche un avvicinamento al Gothic Metal, modificando così il Melodic Death degli esordi.
