Il 3 novembre del 1992 usciva per Epic Records “Rage Against The Machine”, debut album omonimo della band americana. Arrivò al primo posto della classifica Billboard Heatseekers ed al quarantacinquesimo della Billboard 200 chart
La traccia “Know Your Enemy” vede la partecipazione del vocalist Maynard James Keenan oltre al batterista dei Jane’s Addiction Stephen Perkins alle trashcan percussion. La cover dell’album vede l’immagine di Quảng Đức, un monaco buddhista vietnamita che si diede fuoco a Saigon nel 1963.
